Sunlight Service Group Invests In Redifloor

Optimum Storage Systems Ltd has been a Redirack distributor for over fifteen years. The introduction of Redifloor has enabled the company to broaden its product offering and gain additional customers.

Leading Supplier Of Textile and Laundering Services

The Sunlight Service Group Ltd is the UK's leading supplier of textile rental and laundering services. Founded in 1900, it provides services to over 70,000 customers across the country.

Additional Floor Space

Continued success for the company meant that it needed additional floor space at its Chorley plant, and Optimum Storage Systems Ltd installed a Redifloor mezzanine floor.

A New Mezzanine Floor

Covering over 680 square metres, the new floor is used to house the company's new towel handling, feeding and packing machines. Laundry is moved around the plant in roll cages, which are now stored under the floor. Prior to the floor installation this area was severely congested.

Thermal Cladding

As can be appreciated the washing machines and tumble driers adjacent to the floor produce a lot of heat, so the floor features thermal cladding and a thermal wall to reduce the heat soak through the floor into the area above.

Additional Office Space

A section of the floor was fitted with partitioning to create additional office space for Sunlight Service Group Ltd. Finishing the installation were two sets of stairs enabling personnel access at the centre and one end of the floor.

Strong, Easy to Install
