Industrial Mezzanine Construction

Industrial mezzanine floors have four major structural components; columns, beams, joists and decking:

• Columns are typically upright posts made of boxed section steel,
  
  
• Beams are the ‘I’ section steel members that run across the top of the columns sitting on the cap plates,
  
  
• Joists run at right angles to the beams and support the decking surface of the floor, and
  
  
• Decking forms the floor surface and is made of either chipboard, open steel grid or solid steel.

Joists and decking can be customised to suit your needs.
